𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘵, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮 ‘𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘬’ 𝘢𝘯𝘥 ‘𝘤𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘭𝘺’.

One evening as I was hanging out on my bicycle in the center of the town, three young men – I would use ‘adolescents’ to describe them – went-past me on their fancy big motorcycles. Though, they were not speeding, they in fact were parading and showing off.

Roaming on the crowded main street with obviously no destination in mind, seemed indecisive whether to take a right or else continue straight ahead. At that very moment – all of a sudden of course – one of them took the initiative and made it to the right. He was instantly followed by one of his companions.

His brain was a second late deciding to imitate the two motorcyclists, his two-wheeled machine got stuck and stopped in the middle of the street. A 190 Mercedes almost hit it; there were only a few centimeters left between the car and the motorbike. The car guy sounded the car’s horn to alert the reckless young boy.

Instead of saying “sorry”, the motorcyclist looked at the driver and, with his hands showing opposition, said in a rude harsh tone “what is UP with you?! Slow it down.

* ᴡʜʏ ᴅɪᴅ ʜᴇ ꜱᴀʏ ᴛʜᴀᴛ? * ᴡʜʏ ᴅɪᴅ ʜᴇ ᴀᴄᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴀʏ ʜᴇ ᴅɪᴅ? ᴀʀᴇ Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ ᴛᴏ ʙᴇ ᴀɴꜱᴡᴇʀᴇᴅ.

The driver, who obviously and logically was expecting an apology, was really driven mad by the HOW and WHAT was said by the rider. So, he got out of his black vehicle throwing some real curses and insults. He was intending to start a fight (I would say beat him up, given his body size and temper).

Noticing what I just put between parentheses, the rider sped up, following his already-gone small herd.

Although, there was a problem in the way the three young men were riding their motorcycles, the aforementioned situation could have been ignored or overlooked by one simple word. That’s “SORRY”. Being said the way it should be said and at the moment it is required, “sorry” could have been solved the issue.
